Blog by Olivia Bedford, apprentice business administrator, andpartnership
It was only a week ago that the team at andpartnership were counting down the days until the highly anticipated launch of the Achieving Peak Performance programme down at the Olympic Stadium on Thursday 4th April.
Having only been an apprentice at the company for seven weeks, I seemed to join amongst all of the action; right from the start of my apprenticeship I was keen to get on the buzz of the launch with the rest of my colleagues. Amongst all the board meetings, printing and packing, Thursday seemed to pop up right in the midst of our preparation. However, with all bases covered and suitcases packed to the brim, the team got off the train and onto King’s Cross platform just after 7:30am, ready to wade through the tumultuous crowds of London’s rush hour and emerge at our Office for the day- London’s own Olympic stadium.
By 10am, seats were filled by perhaps most intriguing to me, so many talented people from such varied professions and industries. As our guests mingled around the Arnold Hill’s suite, networking with our Directors, it sunk in that my decision to take on an apprenticeship at andpartnership is quite possibly one of the most fundamental career choices I have and will make. What was an event completely out of the ordinary for me, has left me hopeful that I will see the company continue to grow through more thought-provoking programmes.
